ASMAD SURMA (KHOL) The origin of the term kohl can be traced back to the language known as "Arabic." Whether black in colour, white, red, or grey, Kohl (Surma) is defined as an ultrafine powder that is applied to the eyes with confidence throughout the globe. Kohl is also known by its Arabic name, Kohl. Kohl has a long history of use dating back to ancient civilizations as a method for calming and cleansing the eyes, as well as for making the eyes appear healthier, brighter, and more beautiful while also shielding them from a variety of eye conditions.
How it works
A quality class of Kohl, such as Kohl, is a class of Kohl that has been crushed to a fine powder and is created from plain Kohl stone. Its three primary attributes, namely astringent and adsorptive action, keep the eyes clean, rejuvenated, and well protected from dust and bacteria invading your precious eyes when applied to the eyes, which keeps eyes clean, rejuvenated, and well-protected from dust and bacteria invading your precious eyes. In addition to this, recent studies conducted in the area of pharmacopoeia have shown that shielding one's eyes from the brightness of the sun and, in turn, protecting one's eyes naturally from U.V. radiation may be accomplished by smearing one's eyelids with a good brand of Kohl and letting it dry.

Reduce eye diseases
It was said by Hazrat Ibn Al Qayyim (R.A.) that Ithmid (surma) helps minimize the appearance of skin folds and wrinkles forming on the eyelid, as well as manage (a disease of the skin) of the eyelids, and it soothes the eyestrain. It facilitates the cleansing of the fluids in the eyes and relieves congestion in the tear ducts. It enables the eyes to naturally cleanse themselves, helps protect them from dust particles floating in the air, and helps brighten one's sight. Ithmid (Surma) is effective in treating headaches when it is combined with honey and then diluted with water before being applied to the edge of the eyelid.
Used in Makeup
In modern times, men and women use surma on their eyes as a kind of eye makeup. It is also considered high quality if the surma causes the user to experience a burning sensation. In its natural state, galena has a hue that may be either black or grayish-black, and its colour can be either white or grayish-white.
Increases eyesight and enhances eyelashes
It is advised that both men and women practise Surma. There are several advantages to using surma, such as improving one's vision, encouraging the creation of longer and thicker eyelashes, and fortifying the optic nerve. When combined with musk powder, it is often regarded as the most effective form of Kohl for older persons who suffer from impaired eyesight due to the effects of advancing age.
Keep your eyes relaxed and clean.
Stones Kohn, a combination of several plants, are used to create surma. The medication is rubbed in along the lash line of the lower eyelid. It is stated that if you start taking surma daily, it will protect your eyes from the dust and pollutants in the environment. It also imparts a refreshingly chilly feeling when used in contact with the eyes.
Surma Kills germs
One of the advantages of using Ithmid Kohl or surma is that it helps avoid unwelcome breakouts of eyelash mites, the presence of which may have a detrimental impact on an individual's eye health. It effectively prevents and treats various eye conditions, including conjunctivitis, blepharitis, trachoma, and cataracts. Because it is germicidal, it eliminates germs that congregate on the sludge that forms on the sides of the eyes.
Protect from U.V. & Sunlight
It protects against the harmful effects of the sun's ultraviolet (U.V.) radiation. When the user applies the Asmad surma to their eyes, the minute particles of Surma create a thin film over the eye and absorb the incoming U.V. radiation from the sun. Because Kohl is made up of galena, which has U.V. absorptive characteristics, the user can protect their eyes from the sun. In addition, because of its dark grey colour and glossy surface, surma assists in deflecting the intense glare produced by the sun.
How to apply?
Kohl is a very fine powder that may be applied with relative ease. Therefore, before inserting the Surma stick into the Surma container, dip it in olive oil or water. You may use a wood, metal, or glass stick as your Surma. Always apply the stick with the hand that corresponds to the side of the eye being treated; for example, if you are treating your right eye, use your right hand. While keeping the stick perpendicular to the eye, put it into the innermost part of the lower eyelid. Put your eyes out of your mind and pull outward in a direction parallel to your eyelids.
